Rated 5 out of 5 by Swamp Laundry Sweetest set of irons I've swung!
I had to lay off the game for a year due to a broken leg. When I came back to golf, my forged blades were too difficult to get right back on the horse and hit. These forged irons, with a slight cavity back were exactly what I needed. I still have the work-ability and feel I desire when my game is on, and when I have the occasional mishit, I find my next shot being near the green, rather than 40 yards short, as I often found myself with a mishit true blade. I hit these a little higher than I'd prefer, but that's fixable with the right shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by $ycoballz Fantastic players' irons!
These clubs are the ultimate for the person looking for a players club but not a muscle back blade iron. Getting back into golf, I just can't hit the sweetspot on my older blades all the time any more... but I absolutely hate the big hammer style game improvement irons. I like small clubs I can work through the rough and other lies cleanly. I like to be able to work the ball a little. These things are awesome... they're a better players' club with patented Callaway forgiveness. The heads are small and they are NOT as forgiving as game improvement clubs but if you strike the ball reasonably well and like classic looking iron heads instead of gigantor, 160-yard with my eyes closed pitching wedge game improvement clubs that should come with their own built in range finders, then may you rest assured that you are buying the absolute finest irons crafted by human hands. I've always loved Dynamic Gold shafts but my set has the Flighted Rifle Project X shafts and they are dynamite! I love the flighted trajectory... these might be my new favorites.

These irons are the best. I'm a 60 year old golfer, and I bought these clubs in 2010 on a whim. Always wanted to play forged again after decades of cast iron playing. Had been playing X-12's for a while, very good clubs also.
No fitter or pro would have advised me to buy forged, especially with 6.0 stiff shafts. But I hit the forged as far as the x-12's. I also hit the ball straighter. And the feel is heavenly, a good shot feels like a good shot. In 2011, I had more sub 80 rounds than any year before.
I can't speak for all old guys, but for me, forged was the way to go. If I could putt, I'd be a single digit man. The only con I can come up with is I'm using iron covers to prevent nicks as much as possible. After a year of use, the irons still look like new.

I sold my 2009's and switched to current forged RazrX. There is a real fine line. Callaway built a great forged set of sticks in 2009 models.

was playing with Mizuno's MP32s.
These are longer and more forgiving and still let me work the ball.

I love the feel of these forged clubs. The ball flight is truer and my distance is more consistant.

4-PW with TT Black Gold shafts, very nice feel, good price. Best place to get clubs without seeing them.
