Product Overview

Callaway Golf has reached a new level of performance in a forged iron design. This iron provides a wide range of golfers the best distance they have ever seen in a Callaway forged iron with unprecedented feel, accuracy and forgiveness.

  • Configured for Distance: This iron generates better distance than other forged irons because of a lower, deeper CG that has a penetrating trajectory. The undercut cavity improves stability on off-center hits and a thin, energy-efficient face increases ball speeds.
  • Forged Precision: The forged steel perimeter-weighted body and precision welded face provide incredibly soft, responsive feedback at impact in a sleek and compact head styled with classic lines.
  • Accuracy and Workability: With a thin top line, narrow sole, shorter blade length and minimal offset, these irons provide premium shot-shaping ability for a wide range of golfers.

Comments about Callaway Golf Diablo Forged Irons:

I didn't want to give up a forge feel and a thinner line at the top for a more forgiving club but this does both! What a great club. I also added yardage and can still work the ball. It fits in with the forged X clubs I don't want to give up. Thanks for the great design.

Comments about Callaway Golf Diablo Forged Irons:

Replaced my X20's and picked up more than a club in distance. Great feel and more workable than the X20's. Love the thinner top line. More feel and conrol around the greens. Easy enough to hit that a mid-handicapper would do fine with these clubs.

Have played two other sets of irons this season, and all I can say is UNBELIEVEABLE. Forgiving, consistent, and GREAT Feel. My scores this season thus far have been 85-90, now I think I can break 80, hitting more greens with 7 thru wedge than before.

Comments about Callaway Golf Diablo Forged Irons:

Was looking at Mizuno MX300, missed my Mizuno MX23 feel, was playing Callaway X-22's with graphite shaft, and did not like looking down at the top line...too thick. Took out both the MX300 and the Diablo Forged, both felt good but the Callaway went further and the mis hits were better. Drove down to Callaway and got fitted, they took me out of graphite and put me in the Uniflex steel and bent them up 1 degree. Got the clubs, love them. They swing easy, look great, give you confidence when you look down, and they stay in the air with the proper trajectory. No balloning, lower ball flight, and the feel is so much better than anything I have hit. My game is better and is going to get even better. Buy these clubs if you are a serious golf addict like me.

I've own alot of different clubs and pretty much change my clubs every year. The Diablo Forged are the best performing and best feeling irons I've ever hit. Pretty pricey, but they are forged and worth consideration before other forged irons.

Comments about Callaway Golf Diablo Forged Irons:

I finally got my new set of Diablo Forged irons and let me say these are seriously sweet irons. I am moving from a set of Ping G5's to these and there is a big difference. It is true that the forgiveness isn't as good as a pure game improvement iron, but surprisingly they aren't overly terrible on off-center hits.

I have gained one club length in distance which is nice and I am trying to get used to swinging a little lighter with these irons rather than having to really get after the ball to get the distance I want.

I would highly recommend these irons even for the higher cost, but wouldn't recommend these for a pure begginer.

I would stronly recommend the Diablo forged irons. They are forgiving and they are not oversized. I tried hitting the X 20's and they are no way close to the Diablo forged.

The Diablo forged are not the most forgiving clubs. I am a 10 handicap. If you hit the ball in the sweet spot, you get high ball flight, plenty of length, and a soft feel. Hit it off the toe, they feel clanky. I hit a demo 6 iron Edge. I hit it even higher but not quite as long. I wanted a forged club since I was replacing a forged set. I like the forged long irons. I hit them well enough to take my 4 utility club out of the bag. Try to get to a facility with demo clubs and hit both models outside. Hit about 20 balls with each and figure out which is best for you. I also went to a retailer with the Callaway Performance Center for my fitting, a GREAT experience.

They would be a little less forgiving but have much better feel. If you have trouble hitting the ball solid I would say no. If you want better feel and distance control, I would say absolutley.

Considering your handicap, you may find the greater forgiveness and larger offset of the Diablo Edge irons to be better suited to your game.

On saturday i hit every green in regulation which i have never done. Shame i 3 putted 13 of them, but thats another story. Buy them, you will NOT regret it.

YES! Absolutely. They are incredible forgiving with a wonderful forged feel. You won't look back. As much as I loved my X-16 Pro Series and other Callaway irons, these are on another level. The only other irons I can compare are the X Prototypes, but I wouldn't recommend those. Hope this helps!

I would take them both out to hit to see which one you like for feel and comfort. How the club sets up to your eye is important. The edge has a wider top line and more offset. You should find the edge, a little easier to hit and then it becomes your personal preference of which club give you more confidence at address.
