Golf Digest Hot List Gold Medal Putter

2013 Golf Digest Hot List: Gold Medal
“It’s like the club locked into the ball and it started rolling automatically.” - Golf Digest

A Perfect Blend of Friction and Feel

Consistent, True Roll

The Metal-X insert puts a consistent, true roll on the ball with amazing feedback and feel. It maximizes the mechanical lock with the golf ball dimples to increase friction, which creates a much more controlled and consistent roll to help you sink more putts.

Soft Feel

The Urethane inner layer provides soft touch and saves weight to optimize performance.

Premium, Durable Finish

This high tech finishing process produces a durable Midnight Black Finish that reduces glare, and we added it after gathering extensive feedback from Tour players.

Rated 5 out of 5 by shorty's go to club being short ive always had an issue with clipping a putters heel during my putts. with the #8 that problem is gone and now im railing putts from across the map. sight line and feel are spot on. ill never buy another putter. August 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Update of a Classic I've been playing long enough to have used the original 8802 & Arnold Palmer Original version by Wilson. As good as they were, this one has them beat for feel and roll. No elevation at impact; the ball hugs the green. The insert is the real deal. The site line is perfect with the black finish extremely durable. One suggestion: design a head cover that fits the head & stays on the putter. Otherwise, this has become my "gamer"! July 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome putter Love this Putter. I'm not a fan of all the huge putter heads now a days and this simple blade putter has a great feel and provides a solid roll on the ball. I would definitely recommend trying out this putter. May 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect Old-School Blade I've always been a fan of the "8802" style putters but could never find one that worked for me. I absolutely love the full length alignment line on the Metal X #8. It is so easy to align on putts within 10 feet and feels great. I would recommend the Metal X line to anyone. May 12, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by This Putter is for People under Par or Better This Putter is not for the Weekend Golfer!!!! You really need to be Par or Better. This Putter is no Joke!!! You really need to learn how to Line this Putter up to the Ball !!! It is Off Set . If you line this putter Wrong you will Miss a lot of Putts. If you look at Phil. this is his Putter. This could be the best Putter out there. In Fact it Looks Better than Scotty C. and Feels a lot Better. If You Buy One you will not go Wrong. Just Learn how to Line up to the Ball. ( May the Golf God Touch Your Putter ). September 17, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good traditional putter This is a good traditional type putter with good balance and feel. It allows you to easily close the putter at the point of impact with the ball and it is dear to me since it reminds me of the traditional putters of old. Two drawbacks are the lack of the 6061 aluminum insert which should have been extended accross the full face and the line markings like the Rossi putter. Add these features and this will be a great putter! April 22, 2012
