I removed a grip from my X-7 that had some "cord" in it as it was too large. I figured that the Odyssey brand would be the best to put on this putter. My plan was to put a slightly smaller grip on it as the "Jumbo" grip that was on it was just not to my liking.
Trying it out in my basement (it is March), I found that the grip was very slippery and seemed to promote sweaty hands. My putting style is to cradle the grip very gently and the slipperiness of the new grip sort of turned me off. I should have tried the grip in the store instead of merely picking one out of the rack in packaged form.
I am very concerned that, in the heat of Summer, my sweaty hands might slip on this type of grip.
