I-Core Technology
 This dual core construction provides optimized spin separation from tee to green. The high spin separation helps generate longer distance off the driver and long irons due to lower spin, and higher spin closer to the green for superior greenside control. The inner and outer core recipes are adjusted so that the outer core has a high compression and the inner core an extremely soft compression. This relationship allows HEX Black Tour to achieve the highest spin separation we've ever had in a Callaway golf ball.


DuraSpin Cover
 This proprietary urethane cover formulation significantly improves durability to better prevent marks and scratches throughout the round. It also produces both the soft feel and exceptional short-game spin that players seek in a high performance Tour golf ball.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Golf Ball Callaway has been close before but always left some little something out of their top line balls. This time they have not only gotten it right, but they might have produced the best golf ball ever made. The balls are longer than any pro-line ball, imho, they will spin and stop on a table top, well nearly, as our greens are that hard. The best thing is they retain their shape for putting, it is the truest putting ball I've seen, better than that so called number 1 ball. It is expensive, but the balls hold up really well so you do get your money's worth. April 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best golf ball ever! I loved this ball the moment I hit it. I had at least ten extra yards off the tee, and the ball had tons of spin on the greens. I couldn't believe how good this ball was. The only downfall is that it is just under $50 a dozen. But, it's worth it. March 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by This ball beats the pro v by a mile I am a 4 handicap player and I am very picky on what type of ball I play. I bought this ball after Ernie won the British open for $27.00 a doz. I have played the Pro v or Pro vx for years and deceided to try this ball out. The first time I hit this ball on our 1st hole at my course I reached the the par 5 in 2 and had a 3 foot putt for eagle. I made the putt and shot 4 under on the front side. Since then I have played 12 rounds of golf and have shot 70 five times and have not shot higher than 75. Last weekend in our club championship I shot 69 on the final day. I believe the reason for my good play is because of this ball, it is 5-10 yards longer than the pro v. I can control it better than the pro v and I love the feel off the putter. Since my 1st purchase I have purchase 3 more dozen. You have to try this ball August 29, 2012

Everyone can preach that it added _____ yards to my drive.... good for you but how is your short game? This ball has the right spin compared to other tour rated balls I have played with. It has that soft feel that helps with short yard situation when you over hit your shot. Callaway got it right with this ball with the hardness for distance and softness for control. It's a great investment if you are not one that lose a lot of balls in a round. August 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing!!! I Bought a sleve at TPC Twin Cities Cause like most times i golf.. I had no more golf balls! So like my usaual ball i hit i looked for callaway solitares... Because of my slower swing speed i like a softer ball! but they were all sold out... so i noticed the HEX blacks and without looking at the price paid and walked out! and had an amazing round! didnt lose a single ball... i was hitting straighter farther and above all hitting it were i wanted it! Rated 5 out of 5 by I'm a believer! Thanks to Ernie Els' recent win, I was able to finally try a top-dollar tour ball. WOW...I've sure been missing out. I've previously played $2 balls, and been happy with 280 yard drives. Played the Hex Black yesterday, and hit drives of 305, 312, and 318 and wind was not a factor. I'm hooked now...will never go back to a budget ball again. Thanks Callaway and Ernie...I'm a believer! August 3, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazing performance, but wedges eat them up If you can afford a sleeve of balls per round, this is the ball for you. If your 100 yard club is a GW or lower loft, this is the ball for you. This is by far the best performing ball I've ever hit (not exaggerating the 'by far', I've hit every urethane ball and none come close). However, I cannot use them regularly because every other time I hit a full shot with my 55/60/64° wedge it takes a bit bite. If I could have the durability of my 2nd choice ball (won't mention which) on this ball, I'd never hit any other ball. If I weren't a highly underemployed supply teach I'd still use the Hex Black. Awesome ball. P.S. on ball in pic, the mark on centre left is actually 3 dimples long and goes through the urethane layer. Ball was used 3 holes, and this mark was a 60° shot from 90 yards. Other scuffs are visible but you cannot feel them. October 10, 2012
