I-Core Technology
 This dual core construction provides optimized spin separation from tee to green. The high spin separation helps generate longer distance off the driver and long irons due to lower spin, and higher spin closer to the green for superior greenside control. The inner and outer core recipes are adjusted so that the outer core has a high compression and the inner core an extremely soft compression. This relationship allows HEX Black Tour to achieve the highest spin separation we've ever had in a Callaway golf ball.


DuraSpin Cover
 This proprietary urethane cover formulation significantly improves durability to better prevent marks and scratches throughout the round. It also produces both the soft feel and exceptional short-game spin that players seek in a high performance Tour golf ball.


Dual Mantle
 Both the inner and outer mantles are comprised of different grades of Surlyn® ionomers that are mixed in different ratios to affect the hardness and resilience of the mantle layers. The soft inner and firm outer mantles combine to protect the dual core i-Core Technology while also producing powerful ball speeds.


HEX Aerodynamics
 Callaway's patented HEX Aerodynamics produce 100% surface area coverage on a golf ball whereas traditional round dimples typically cover only 88% of the surface. Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Ball I found one of these balls and decided to hit it. WOW! I LOVE IT. Everyone tells me this is a high compression ball and that I shouldn't be hitting it (I'm 71) but I tell them - I have to have it. I get at least 20-30 more yards off the tee. April 15, 2012

Played the 1st round of the year this past Sunday in blistering 30mph with gusts up to 40mph, I'v eplayed the Taylor Made Penta, Titliest Pro V1x, without a doubt this ball out performed all the other balls without issues. Incredible distance off the tee, incredible feeling around the green even into the windy conditions. Hold extremely well on the greens, and rolled extremely true, very, very durable using 1 ball the entire round, not seeing any changes in the ball conditions front the 1st hole to the last. Rated 5 out of 5 by HEX BLACK TOUR - Long and Consistent I've playing all of the top line tour balls from every manufacturer over the past 15 years and I feel like Callaway finally has a ball that is better than all the other competitors. For me this ball is slightly longer than the Pro v1 (5+ yards with driver and irons), a lot longer than Penta/B330/Srixon, and has the perfect amount of spin. Around the greens it always seems to do exactly what I expect based on how I hit the shot - good and bad. Feel is not too mushy nor too hard. Thanks Callaway! You have a winnner! February 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Ball Overall I play a lot of golf. I have been playing this ball since it first came out and also got my hands on a few prior to them being released to the public. I have to say that I am very happy with the golf ball overall. Distance - Very good. I would say that this ball is about 5 - 7 yards longer than the Pro V. Controll - Love the controll on shots, can shape the ball left or right. These balls will sit down and don't have much roll out on the greens. Spin can be controlled on greenside chips. You can either nip them and make them sit or get them to run out if you choose. Putting- Like the feel but they do feel a little firm. I have gotten used to that and it does not bother me. Durability - Fair. These balls do scuff. I have cut the covers with my irons. Solid iron hits can leave marks on the ball from impact. Trees and cart paths are really hard on these balls. That is why I only gave it a 3. I am doing real well if I can get through a whole round with 1 ball. I have gotten up to 3 rounds out of a ball but I would not play them that way in competition. It was pretty shaggy. December 5, 2012
